PURPOSE AND SUMMARY
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance Technician/Painter to join our Maintenance Department. The Maintenance Technician/Painter will be responsible for performing painting and touch-up work across all church campuses. This includes both interior and exterior painting, surface preparation, and ensuring that all facilities maintain a clean, well-kept appearance. The ideal candidate must have prior professional painting experience and be comfortable traveling between multiple church locations as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS (AT THE TIME OF HIRE)
- Proven experience as a professional painter (minimum 2 years preferred).
- Knowledge of painting tools, techniques, and materials.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Physical ability to lift, climb ladders, and work in various indoor and outdoor environments.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Willingness to travel between different church campuses as required.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform painting, staining, and finishing of various surfaces including walls, doors, trim, and other structures.
- Conduct touch-up painting and minor repairs as part of regular maintenance or special projects.
- Prepare surfaces for painting by washing walls, repairing holes, sanding, and priming.
- Ensure proper care, maintenance, and safe use of painting tools and materials.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment during and after painting tasks.
- Travel to various church campuses as assigned to complete work orders.
- Work collaboratively with the maintenance team and other departments.
- Performs other duties as assigned by Maintenance Manager.
REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS
The Maintenance Technician/Painter reports to the Maintenance Manager.
SCHEDULE: Monday to Friday, with flexibility to work around church services and events. May work occasional evenings or weekends as needed.
Compensation: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour
