PURPOSE AND SUMMARY
The Storehouse Driver establishes and maintains a high standard of excellence
as a representative of The Father’s House and The Vacaville Storehouse. The
Storehouse Driver has direct contact with outside donors and the product being
given to the Storehouse. The Storehouse Driver must maintain a friendly and
professional countenance at all times and must follow Grocery Recovery and
Food Safety protocols. The Storehouse Driver may be assigned to do related jobs
as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS (at time of hire)
• Must possess a valid driver's license and clean driving record
• Due to insurance coverage restrictions, must be at least 25 years of age

• Must be able to safely operate a 26-ft Freightliner truck
• Ability to work well with others
• Ability to work well with others
• Ability to communicate clearly in a busy environment
• Basic math skills
• General understanding of warehouse protocol and pallet jack operation
• Ability to follow a timed schedule
• Ability to make independent decisions based on good business practices
• Detail-oriented
• Forklift training preferred but actual certification not required
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Perform all Grocery Recovery Program tasks including driving to receive and load donations, sorting, weighing, and putting away donations collected from various donors in the area.
• Timely execution of daily donation retrieval and allocation
• Fill out necessary weight forms in detail
• Put all donations in proper locations at the Vacaville Storehouse and other storage areas
• Notify Director of all needed repairs to the vehicle
• Assist with minor vehicle maintenance and repairs (refilling fluids and gas as needed)
• Drive forklift and operate pallet jack as necessary to perform tasks
• Maintain respectful, good rapport with all donor representatives
• Comfortable working independently without constant supervision
• Other duties as assigned by the Director

• Routine contact with Storehouse staff, volunteers, and the community
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
• Ability to lift at least 35lbs unassisted
• Ability to sit for long periods of time
• Ability to lift, push, pull, or carry heavy objects
• Able to enter and exit a large vehicle by stepping and bending
Compensation: $16.50 - $22.00 per hour
